This project involved a complete renovation of the main house, including an addition, without altering the existing dwelling—except for the complete removal of the shingle roof, which was replaced with a metal roof. The project's complexity required meticulous planning to allow the tenant to remain in the unit for as long as possible, in a safe environment, while preserving certain structural elements.

This renovation is notable for the integration of four separate heating systems, as well as the addition of an emergency solar system, providing the owner with remarkable energy independence. The building is equipped with two independent fireplaces—one wood-burning and one gas-fired—a geothermal system, radiant floor heating, and a central ventilation system.

The choice of materials reflects a focus on durability and longevity: a metal roof, fiber cement siding, and high-quality flooring and cabinetry.
